MILANZA made the pace to the stretch under rating, then retained a clear advantage over UNCHARTED when subjected to brisk urging. The latter was sent into the runner-up position nearing the furlong marker, responded to pressure during the drive and gradually was getting to the winner. CHANT, never far back, was unable to improve her position when hard hustled through the late stages. MY SHOEMAKER raced evenly through the stretch without mishap. RIMSICKLE caught tiring horses. DONFIELD failed to stay. ADVENTURESS was outrun. FIRST BALLOT drifted out very wide on the final turn and lost all chance. CRIER and the others never were danaerous. MY CINDY went to the front at once and held sway until well inside the final furlong before weakening. STACK made up some ground when hard hustled through the late stages. The latter was unable to overtake the winner after being guided to the inside of the winner for thedrive, but easily prevailed over the others. RICO MAMZEL gave way suddenly after six furlongs. THYMUS unseated his rider and ran off a quarter mile during the post parade, remained within striking distance of the leaders during the early running and, after assuming command inside the stretch, briskly drew clear while in hand. DEEP RIVER also threw his jockey on the way to the post, raced forwardly to the stretch while under steadying restraint, but was unable to cope with the winner when hard ridden through the final furlong.
