CLING TO, forced extremely wide at the first turn, steadily improved his position and won easily. ARDETTE was within striking distance early, moved to the leader in the early stretch but was no match for the winner. CANDLEMAS broke tardily, was shuffled about early and weakened in the drive after having entered contention. UPPER MERION challenged the leaders entering the stretch and weakened. IFORU enjoyed a commanding lead to the stretch and quit. SAGITTA was through early. EXORBITANT quit, as did CADDYS PEP. Scratched 201164 Blue Copper, 114. FARANEASY lacked speed through the first six furlongs and was unable to menace the top pair while rallying. SILVER OMAR moved menacingly in the early stretch and faltered. ELI COOKIE failed to attain prominence. BUTTON SHOES flattened out after having been responsible for the pace. JET JOY was outrun. CHAR GIRL moved through along the inside, to attain a slight lead briefly between calls on the turn, then quit to a walk. CHAINS was a distant trailer throughout.
