Red legs Acquire Karl Drews From Phils for Waiver Price NEW YORK, N. Y., June 15 UP .Karl Drews, 34-year-old right handed pitcher, was sold to the Cincinnati Reds today by the Philadelphia Phillies for the 0,000 waiver price. Drews, now in his eighth major league season, made only eight relief appearances for the Phils and had a 1-0 record. Last season he won nine games and lost 10 following his peak 1952 campaign in which he compiled a 14-15 mark. To.make room on their roster for Drews, the Reds optioned outfielder Dick Murphy, a recent Ohio University graduate, to their Columbia, S. C, farm team in the Sally league. Time runs out on baseballs "horse traders" at midnight tonight.
