Eleven Fillies in Aqueducts Astoria Fantine Busher, Courtesy, Delta Vie Guerin to RideMaine.Chance Miss; Long Stretch, Natasha Also Come In for Attention AQUEDUCT, N.Y., June 15. The 0,-000 Astoria Stakes, a dash for juvenile fillies at five and a half furlongs, will have its forty-eighth running here Wednesday. A field of 11 has been named for this event, which has been won by such notable fillies and producers as Maud Muller, Edith Cavell, Pandera, Now What, Tangled and First Flight, to name just a few. Favoritism in this dash appears likely to be almost equally divided between Maine Chance Farms Fantine Busher and the Claiborne Farm entry of Courtesy and Delta, a pair of Nasrullah fillies. In the recent Polly Drummond Stakes, which was run in two divisions at Delaware Park, Fantine Busher narrowly beat Courtesy in the slower first division, while Delta tired badly and was unplaced in the division won by Sorceress. Barclay Stables Reddy Ro, who is in Wednesdays field, finished before Delta at Delaware. In an earlier meeting in the Rancocas Stakes at Garden State, Courtesy finished second to Menolene, daylight before Fantine Busher, who raced wide. For her part, Delta had won at Keeneland and Belmont Park, where Fantine Busher also scored for her debut. Delta in Fast Move No riders have been named for Courtesy and Delta, who were vanned over here this morning to get the feel of the Aqueduct strip. Delta worked three panels in :34, while Courtesy was clocked a fifth slower. Eric Guerin, who is in a fine streak, will , be on Fantine Busher. There will also be considerable support for the Wheatley-Belair entry of Long : Stretch and Natasha, who will be saddled ; by Jim Fitzsimmons. Long Stretch, who will be ridden by Ted Atkinson, has won ! her last two and turned back Mrs. Wallace , Gilroys Fashion Page in clever style last ; Saturday at Belmont Park. Natasha fin-; ished fourth behind Fantine Busher and Courtesy in the Polly Drummond, but won , her previous start. The Astoria field is completed by W. Haggin Perrys Trying, winner of her only start last week; Max Kahlbaums Delian, ; Starland Stables Noors Dream and A. J. ; Ferraras My Cindy.
