BLUE TEAL made a good move on the outside nearing the far turn, then dropped back slightly nearing the stretch turn, but came strongly in the last furlong to get to the front and won under pressure. DOWN YONDER challenged for the leadership on the stretch turn and got to the front between calls in the stretch, then went welllo the end. I FROO saved ground on the stretch turn to show in front momentarily when straightened out in the stretch, but faltered near the end. BE SWAYED, racing well up on the inside, was caught in close quarters on the far turn when unable to find an opening and lost all chance. WISEVIEW failed to be a serious contender. SMART COOKIE gained a prominent place rounding the first turn and was snugged on the outside of BLUE ROGUE for a half mile, then drew out but was required to do her best near the finish to hold WOODSIDE. The latter was never too far away and, making a game run through the stretch, was gaining slowly. BRECON BEACONS was outrun to the stretch, then came up with good courage. EMERALD loomed as a serious contender entering the stretch, but faltered in the final drive. BLUE ROGUE tired. Overweight Smart Cookie, 1 pound. Attendance 7,088; Total Mutuel Pool, 84,390.
