Determine Rated Pound Under Dancer7 On California Scale for Hollywood Cup Derby Victor Has 120 to 133 For Gray; Neither to Start; 126 for Imbros, Rejected HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 15. Racing secretary John Maluvius paid a high tribute to the Kentucky Derby winner when he assigned Determine 120 pounds for the Hollywood Gold Cup. At that figure the A. J. Crevolin three-year-old is rated only a pound on the California scale under A. G. Vanderbilts great Native Dancer who drew the actual top weight of 133. Neither, however, is expected to start in the 00,000 run of a mile and a quarter on July 17, Native Dancer being on the injured list and present plans providing for Determine to head for Chicago following his engagement in the Westerner on July 3. Among those considered definite starters in the Cup Determines stablemate Imbros and the King Ranchs Rejected will be the actual top weights with 126 pounds each. On the scale each of them is rated six pounds below Determine. The only other horse among the 81 still eligible for the Cup weighted above" Determine is the Alberta Ranches Thirteen of Diamonds with i24 pounds, but he has been retired and also will be missing from the field.
