1 , 4 DeSpirito Cancels Mounts; Suffers Shoulder Injury ROCKINGHAM PARK, Salem, N. H., June 15. Tony DeSpirito, the countrys leading rider, was forced to cancel six mounts here today after he suffered a shoulder injury in the second race. J. H. Carrs White Student, DeSpiritos mount in the second event, was leading: in the six-furlong event when he ran very wide midway on the turn out of the backstretch and very narrowly escaped brushing the outside rail into the stretch. The Lawrence, Mass., rider used all his energy to attempt to straighten the Rhodes Scholar colt and complained of a sore shoulder.
