Winning Count Finishes Fast for Monmouth Tally Partee Campaigner Holds Two Lengths Edge on Opera Light MONMOUTH PARK, Qceanport, N. J., June 15.-r-W. C. Partees Winning Count staged a long and powerful run here this afternoon to come from far back of the early pace in the six-furlong Victor Borge Purse and put away the leaders for a win-nuig decision of two lengths. The Count Fleet gelding, who was purchased by his owner for a reported 5,000 after impressively finished second in the Arkansas Derby this spring, was somewhat overlooked by the wagering faction and he paid 2.60. Skies remained heavily overcast, as they have been for the past few days, but the racing strip was lightning fast, which was indicated by the 1:10 hung up by Winning Count under a steadying impost of 124 pounds. Charles Lawrences . blaze-faced Opera Light, who finished a head in front of Winning Count in the Jersey Stakes at Garden State Park, overcame being carried wido into the stretch by Vicente and Navarros Hanwar and he gamely earned the second money by a head over his wilful rival. Joe Gavegnanos slow beginning Night Baker came on to be fourth, another length and a half behind Hanwar.
