J., June 21. — Weights released for the 5,000 Molly Pitcher Handicap that will be renewed at a mile and a sixteenth on Saturday places Meyer J. Kaplans gallant Sunshine nell at the top of 39 nominees with an assignment of 126 pounds. This is one pound more than she. carried to her recent triumph in the Top Flight Handicap at Belmont Park. The Top Flight, which was also at one mile and a sixteenth, matched the majority of the leading nominees to the local filly and mare fixture and racing secretary John Turner, Jr., has juggled the weights around in the usual attempt, to "bring them together." Darby Dan Farms Atalanta and. Mrs. Marian W. OConnors La Corredora are weighted closest to Sunshine New with 124 pounds imposts. Atalanta, who is the probable favorite in a prep event here tomorrow, carried 126 pounds as highweight in the Top Flight and she finished 11th. The daughter of Count Fleet had no excuses in the running of the Top Flight, but she is known to be capable of better and her effort tomorrow will provide a truer indication of her present form. La Corredora shouldered 125 pounds in the Top Flight and she gave an admirable performance to circle a good part of the large field in the drive and close fastest of all to finish third, beaten a lengths and a half. John S. Phipps* Spinning Top, a game second to Sunshine Nell and just missing top spoils by * nose, "carried her same weight of 112 pounds, giving her a pound advantage over her recent victor. Jones, Jr.s Lillial, who finished seventh and drops two pounds; Shawmut Stables Gainsboro Girl, who was sixth and is relieved of one pound; E. P. Canadiana, 14th and reduced two pounds, and Mrs. C. Whitakers Grecian Queen, the three-year-old filly champion of 1953 and winner of the Monmouth Oaks over this strip last year, is respectfully weighted at 116 pounds.
