JUST EIGHT went to the front early to quickly open up a good lead and was never in danger of being headed. AMERICAN PLAN raced in second place most of the way, but failed to threaten for the leadership. MON BAISER was fairly well up throughout in an even effort. MIRA SADOR was going fairly well at the end. UNCLE* JOHN broke well, but was unable to keep up. OCEAN QUEEN was in close quarters right after the start and was taken up. Won driving; second and third the same. AHSA BEAUTY was never too far removed from the pace and, coming strongly through the stretch, cut to the inside of WOODFELLOW in the last sixteenth and caught him near the end to win slowly drawing out. WOODFELLOW took a fairly good advantage soon after ihe start and withstood a stretch challenge from MR. NEAL, then went gamely to the finish. The latter made a good bid in the stretch. CAJUN QUEEN was never too far removed and went steadily to the end. CANARY ISLAND closed some ground. ATTRACT had a rough trip. BRIGHT FLAME moved up on the outside on the stretch turn but faltered in the final drive. TARTAN SUE was slow to get in stride and was never dangerous. JOHNS MABEL dashed up on the outside soon after the start and, shaking off INDIAN LIGHT after entering the stretch, drew away with ease in the final sixteenth. FULLOPEP was slow to get in stride and was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly to easily best the rest. PREDICT was close enough early, but faltered when put to the test in the last eighth. Won driving; second and third the same. OUR LOVE came to the inside in the stretch to improve her position and, wearing down MARK KLAINE, disposed of him in the last twenty yards. MARK KLAINE forged to the front after going a short distance, but was headed by HEIR APPARENT and VOORHEES ARAB nearing the stretch turn, then again headea the field at midstretch but did not have much left CEBETTE improved her position steadily and was racing well at the end. SANDY M. made a fair-move nearing the stretch turn, but lugged in behind horses after entering the stretch. VOORHEES ARAB tired badly in the last sixteenth. BLUE BOY was badly outrun. The latter lacked the early speed to keep up, but came strongly in the last sixteenth to be up to take second place from VANDANELL in the last strides. The latter drew clear nearing the stretch t"™,?nd put up a fair battle when challenged. SAY-BELLE was racing well on the inside at the finish. STONER CREEK made up some ground in the stretch.
