m ASHLEY T. COLE— Chairman, NASRC Committee on International Relations which gave its report at yesterdays opening session. " — 1 — * I I NASRC Committee Report: Information J. William Graham, Maryland, chairman; Lawrence J. Lane, Massachusetts; Charles J. Sheehan, New Jersey; Ted Daughters, South Dakota; Clement A. Nance, Illinois. * First, the Information Committee would again like to acknowledge the wonderful job that Mrs. Smith, the secretary, is doing in distributing through the bulletins all the information afforded to her. However, there is still room for improvements in the manner in which the offices of the Commissions present their information to Mrs. Smith for distribution. The Information Committee again submits the following suggestions in connection with the Bulletin: 1. In reporting rulings for the bulletins, several Commissions are. still giving only initials instead of the given names. Full names should be given. 2. -Very often, it is reported in the Bulletin that an owner, trainer, jockey, or other individual has been ruled off by the Stewards pending action of the Commission or the case is referred to the Commission and such ruling is never followed up by the ruling of the Commission on the matter. Also, care should be taken to determine, in the case of any action by a Racing Commission on a ruling by the stewards, that notice of the ruling of the stewards was submitted. Data Should Be Given 3. IT IS OUR OPINION THAT IN ALL RULINGS ON STIMULATION CASES OR IN ANY OTHER MORE SERIOUS RULINGS, THE FULL NAME, ADDRESS AND AGE OF THE PERSON INVOLVED SHOULD BE GIVEN. 4. All rulings .should state whether the person involved is an owner, trainer, jockey, jockey agent,- groom, exercise boy, etc. 5. Rulings should define specifically the offense for which the ruling is made. 6. All notices of reinstatements, or corrections, or modifications should be sent in. They are very important. 7. Each Commission should notify the NASRC secretary when a person connected with racing, such as an owner, trainer, jockey, or other licensee, passes away. With this information the file on each deceased individual could be removed, from the set of those actively engaged in racing. Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen:
