PHANTOM HEELS, well placed from the outset, took command entering the stretch and drew clear, winning with something left. SIDS BIRTHDAY, never far back, closed determinedly under punishment, but could not seriously .threaten PHANTOM HEELS. TOP STOCKINGS went to the front early, set the pace to the stretch, then faltered when challenged by the winner. DONQUEST failed to rally when set down for the drive. PURIFY began sluggishly. LIEBESKIND was outrun and had no mishap. PADDY LANE had early foot, but bore out during the last three-eighths mile. PAJARA showed nothing. COL. MOE LEE could not keep up. CAPTAIN FIN, well placed early; assumed command entering the stretch, responded well when fidden out and won going away. GALENA, never far back, finished determinedly under punishment, but could not threaten the top one. LEAVEMEALONE raced evenly to the stretch, closed willingly under brisk urging and disposed of DENBRU in the last strides. DENBRU, away fast, raced forwardly placed to the final furlong, then faltered. MISS NAYLOR took an early lead, set the pace to the stretch while engaging DENBRU, but had nothing -left for the drive. THEODORE B. was outrun and raced wide. LOVE BUG was never dangerous and had no excuse. CHILOE II. showed nothing. SAUREE was far back throughout. COMMANDANT broke down before going a quarter mile. Won easily; second and third driving. MISS BOXER, away fast and never far back, took command from HERBS GAL entering the stretch, then drew clear, winning with speed in reserve. SU-JAY, a sharp factor early, drifted to the outside at the final turn, then finished fairly well under punishment, but. could not reach the winner, although much the bestvof the others. BOLD SPOT lacked early speed and raced wide during the last three-eighths of a mile. HERBS GAL had early foot, but failed to stay. BILLDIVI was never prominent and had no excuse. AMAUT ROYAL was through early. CHRIS ALMO, away sluggishly, was hustled after the start to reach serious contention, then tired badly during the stretch run. Miss Boxer claimed by H. Thornton. ISIT CASH went to the front at once, was steadied approaching the stretch, then established a good lead and won with something left. JOLISAM, outrun early went wide at the final turn, finished determinedly under brisk handling, but could not seriously threaten the top one although easily best of the others. WAR NIMBUS raced forwardly placed from the start, but failed to rally when set down in the drive. JOE PAGLINA began slowly. BILLIES ANN was through early YPSI LEO showed nothing. FLICKA STAR, away sluggishly and outrun 16 the stretch, was sent to, the extreme outside for the drive and, closing fast under punishment, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. MAGIC CHOICE raced evenly to the stretch, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but could not withstand the winner. ETERNAL GOIN, never far back and saving ground, settled in the stretch with a clear lead, then faltered. EASTER HOUR tired after racing prominently to the stretch. JOHN ALDEN began fast, disliked the slow track, then drifted to the outside during the stretch run. KALLUKI had no excuse. UNCLE EDDIE raced wide.
