Seafert; bred by W. J. Dowling. IN GATE 3:46. OFF AT 3:47 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good for all but MONMOUTH. Won driving; second and third the same. GOLDEN PELT steadily worked way forward to the stretch, swerved repeatedly when set down in the drive but wore down STROLLING, BALL in the last sixteenth. The latter took an early lead, set the. pace to the stretch" and settled for the drive with a short advantage but could not hold the winner SO FAIR held on gamely in a good effort and had no mishap. MONMOUTH began poorly, gradually improved position thereafter but could not overtake the leaders when set down through the stretch, although probably best. HI BOB faltered when nearing the finish. BABY LAKE raced vell to the stretch but failed to stay when set down in the drive. FIRST GRANDSON was outrun and had no excuse. TREADA BOY was never prominent PHAELATER could not keep up. PRY PAT was through early. BATTLE BOAT showed nothing. HI-CHROME struck the inner rail leaving the upper turn, bore out, badly thereafter and lost all chance. MISS MELODY, away slowly, gradually worked way forward after the start, responded readily when shaken up entering the stretch and, disposing of the leaders, won going away. RELICS WAR took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, but was unable to hold the winner. SUFFKI, never far back, fnade a bold bid in the early stretch, then faltered and probably needed his race. ROCKABYE MARY had early speed, but failed to stay. RISSAS SON tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. DOGEIANA was never prominent and raced wide. HERBS GAL tired. KALLUKIs rider lost whip near the quarter-mile pole. MARSHAWEISTA was never dangerous. BURGOO PLAY was through early and bore out badly during the stretch run. TIMS MOON showed little. BOLO BOY raced far back throughout." RUMSON HILL, away sluggishly, gradually worked way forward to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing strongly, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. LADDIES SIS, rank during the post parade and at the post, raced forwardly placed from the outset, reached the lead between calls near the finish but could not hold the top one. DOC GEORGE went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. SAVATE gave a good effort and. had no mishap. MIZ ZARETA held on determinedly and had no excuse. TANGO FIRST began slowly. MISS HAZEL began well but tired during the drive. GRAND PARIS was never prominent. TULIPA LADY raced wide. LADY RAMON could not keep up. SABRE-BIM raced greenly. COLONEL ZEDER, never far back and well riddep, raced HY FRONT into defeat during the stretch run, then lasted to withstand TIFFANY. The latter began fast, but dropped back after the start and raced evenly to the stretch, closed determinedly when set down in the drive, but could not overtake the winner, although easily best of the others. HY FRONT went, to the front early, made the. pace to the last eighth, then faltered when challenged by COLONEL ZEDER. KINDER gave a good performance and had no mishap. VELVET began slowly, was hustled to reach serious contention, then . tired.. OPEN WAY raced wide. WHITE HART was never dangerous. DELIBERATE showed nothing after starting alertly.
