Dykes Enters Win Column AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 17. Jockey Hollis Dykes chose the local oval to resume riding duties following his release from the Army and guided his first mount, Mr. Mullen, owned by F. H. Bruning and L. A. Snyder, to victory. During his first week of riding here he has been post-ward seven times and accounted for two winning efforts. Dykes makes his home in El Centro, Calif., and says his present riding weight, 112 pounds, will be reduced when excessive weight gained as a cook in the service is lost. Following the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting he plans to journey to Centennial Race Track for the summer months.
