Cubed Ice Works Impressive Fiye Furlongs in :59 MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J.. June 17. Several horses were seen in good trials here today. Justin Funkhousers Cubed Ice worked an impressive five furlongs in :59. This filly, who is named for the Colleen Stakes on July 2, was second-in the Singing Tower at Gulfstream Park and also in the Bowie Breeders Stakes. Brookfield Farms I Appeal, whose next start may be in the Rumson Handicap, breezed b half mile in :48 this morning. He was scratched from the Oceanport Handicap on opening day. Trainer Ray Metcalf supervised a three-eighths move for Elkcam Stables Ifabody in :37 this morning. Ray has this performer and Shamrock Hill both eligible for the Salvator Mile next Wednesday.
