Mare Gold Salute, to Be Sold On June 27, Bred to Khaled RIVERSIDE, Calif., June 17. Gold Salute, a daughter of Alibhai and one of the prime offerings in the W. W. Naylor dispersal sale scheduled for Monday, June 27, has been bVed to Californias leading sire, Khaled, it was announced in Riverside by Tiny Naylor. Gold Salute is one of Californias fine mares, being the dam of the stakes winners Golden Abbey and Millas Abbey and the good winner First Reader, and Naylor ex plained he felt she deserved to be sent to the statejs leading stallion. Naylors own sire, Kings Abbey, is generally ranked second to Khaled in California sire statistics. The mare will be sold with a Kings Abbey colt at side and rated as "probably in foal" to Khaled, sire of Swaps, El Drag, Karim, Correspondent, Fleet Khal and other top runners. Gold Salute is one of the 37 mares, 24 of whom have foals at side, that will be sold in the Naylor dispersal to be staged at the Naylor and Sons farm in Riverside by Fasig-Tipton Co. Also to be sold are 16 yearlings and three two-year-old fillies.
