Lucien Parent Astride First Winner at Narragansett NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 17. Lucien Parent, 20-year-old youngster from Lowell, Mass., scored the first victory of his career when he guided Mrs. P. Coutures Ducat home in the featured Bunker Hill Purse. The winner led from the start and though he had a wide margin for most of the journey, he won by only a nose over Smola and Bess Top Spring. Three-quarters of a length back in third place was E. A. Simpsons Legate. Ducat returned .40 and covered the six furlongs in 1:12. It was a warm sunny afternoon and the attendance numbered 9,0004, the slight increase being attributed to the fact that Bunker Hill is a bank holiday in the Boston area. Parent, who is under contract to Herbie Lewis, trainer of Ducat, was on the 15th mount of his career. He started this year at Lincoln Downs.
