Irish-Bred Stakes Winner New Arrival at Hollywood LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 1. Trainer Don Early and international turfman Ray Bell flew to Belmont Park, New York, last week where Early purchased for his owners, Mr. and Mrs. William Radovic, the four-year-old Irish-bred, Dumpty Humpty. The classic colt was flown via Slick Airlines from Belmont Park and arrived at Lockheed Air Terminal Thursday morning, May 30. Dumpty Humpty is a dark brown son of Stalino, who is by Stardust and out of a stakes-winning Hyperion mare, "who in turn produced eight stakes winners. Dumpty Humpty, a splendid grass horse, won the Dee Stakes at Curragh, Ireland 20 runners, the Angelesea Stakes at Curragh, and was third in the Leopardstown Produce Stakes, won by Roistar even weights , who finished third in the Epsom Derby and second in the Irish Derby, and was narrowly beaten in the National Produce Stakes at Curragh, conceding 12 pounds to Black Patch, and at even weights with Roistar. Dumpty Humpty was beaten inches for third place in the Irish 2,000 Quineas one mile, finishing ahead of Windsor Serial, a recent handicap winner in California. Dumpty Humpty also finished second in the Three Tock Handicap at Leopardstown seven furlongs to Darn, a top-class handi-capper who was in receipt of two years and 24 pounds.
