WISH TONIGHT, unhurried while outrun eary, moved boldly from midway of the final turn and wore down SEE L SEE. The latter improved his position steadily to be in front at the furlong pole and responded willingly. BLIMEY rallied too late to menace the top ones. POWDER FLASK attained a clear advantage along the backstretch and gave way badly through the stretch, just lasting for a dead-heat with I ERNE. The latter wore down tired horses. TURKISH GOLD, crowded slightly between horses in the run to the first turn, rejoined them along the inside entering the backstretch and gave way badly. ELAND flattened out badly. CORFEL, within striking distance without being hurried, responded from the outside when roused through the stretch and wore down BIG BONUS. The latter appeared to be trying to get out while on the inside of FIRST PEEP rounding the turn, attained a clear advantage after drifting wide into the stretch but was unable to resist the winner. MIGHTY OAK loomed a threat along the inside entering the stretch and lacked further response. FIRST PEEP was hard pressed and weakened. CAPACITOR failed to attain prominence.
