Alsab Purse Tops Balmoral Program Sticks, Deb Chaser Meet in Mile Test Equipar, Our Boy Bill, Biotz And Black-Bounty Complete Field for Monday Headliner WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., June 1. Mondays best race on the Balmoral card is the Alsab Purse, a ,500 one-mile contest for four-year-olds and upward that goes as the seventh event on a nine-race bill. Heading a six-horse field is Frank A. Benners Sticks, an easy winner here last out, and Valley View Farms "off" track runner, Deb Chaser. William H. Veenemans Our Boy Bill, Rockmoore Farms Black Bounty, R. A. ConneUs Biotz and T. Boudries Equipat complete the field. Sticks earried his first victory of the year last Tuesday, scoring easily over Marked Game and Just Judy at a furlong longer than Mondays headliner. The five-year-old gelding earlier finished third in a Balmoral mile test won by Intencion, and was second in a Churchill Downs sprint won by Fleet Peet. Deb Chaser Seeking First 57 Victory Deb Chaser, seeking his initial win in five starts this season, could improve off a third place showing, here two weeks ago behind Top Mark and Checkered Flag at six furlongs. He raced well up and challenged for leadership at the head of the straightaway, then failed to stay. It was his best effort this year. Our Boy Bill has been displaying good form at. the Balmoral session, the Royal Gem gelding having won a pair of seconds behind Rockport and Country Bumkin in one mile events. On both occasions, Our Boy Bill showed early foot only to tire in the last sixteenth. Equipat is winless in three starts this year, including two Balmoral attempts, one a fourth in an allowance sprint won by Our Holiday. Black Bounty and Biotz were third and fourth, respectively, last out here behind Rockport and Our Boy Bill at one mile. Black Bounty was making his 14th start this season arid was registering his sixth in-the-money placing. Earlier, he was fifth behind Intencion and Lebanon Lad here at the Alsab distance. He has won three races this year. Biotz, an Argentina-bred five-year-old, has won one race in 11 starts, that being last April at Gulfstream Park in ,000 claiming company. He was fourth last out here, prior to which he also turned in a fourth place showing behind Intencion and Lebanon Lad at one mile.
