Hike Triomphe to 12,000 Special to Daily Racing Form PARIS, France, June 1 Reuters . The Prix de LArc de Triomphe to be run at Longchamp on October 6, will carry 40 million francs 12,000 in added money this year instead of the usual 25 million 0,000, the French Jockey Club announced today. The increase in prize money is to mark the centenary of the race, first run on April 26, 1857. C. V. Whitneys Career Boy ran fourth and his Fisherman ninth behind the Italian wonder horse, Ribot, in last years race.
