BECKS MAN, slow to reach his best stride, moved willingly in the final guarter mile and finished strongly. BLACK HANNAH displayed good speed to midstretch where she gave way suddenly. HAPPYS SAM j appeared to hang after making a bold bid through the early stretch. HARRIET F. was never a contender. MELODY AIR tired from he- early efforts. !
