Allowance Sprinters Go In ThistleDown Event Here Come Joe Bobschild, Both Coming Off Winning Efforts By Staff Correspondent THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 1. This 44-day meeting goes into its .second week of activity Monday with an eight-race program headed by the ,600 Bay Village Purse. The feature is an allowance event for three-year-olds and upward at six furlongs. A pair of winners at this meeting head the full field of 12, they being Leo Caillou-etts three-year-old, Here Come Joe, winner of the Bombay Purse last Wednesday and Mrs. J. R, Battys Bobschild, easy victress of the Miss ThistleDown Purse on opening day. Here Come Joe again will be ridden by Richard Miguez and gets in with 107 pounds. While Bobschild is one of the lighter weights of the group having 105 with apprentice Vidal Guajardo doing the piloting. W. L. Huntleys Hilarious is coupled as an entry with the same owners Rite-Step and the latter appears along with R. R. Thomas Razor, an also-eligible. The race appears wide open with such as Monte Prestons Deck, M. J. Schmitts Wm. L. Freyhof, Mrs. M. Hefrens Kumbol-Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Nelligan Jr.s Mr. Bagdad among the entrants. Rounding out the field are D. J. Thomsons Veneration, Marion Whitebooks Longone, J. L. Coles Sac-andaga and Mr. and Mrs. I. Dazels Kabob.
