Rate Bobby Brocato Ready for Argonaut May Oppose Social Climber And Corn Husker Saturday In Hollywoods Mile Cap HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 1. The Kerr Stables Bobby Brocato, long out of action recovering from a foot injury, is ready to return to the racing wars and is expected to make his first public appearance in the 0,000-added Argonaut Handicap next Saturday. He is .one of the older throughbreds among the 17 announced this morning for the run of a mile, which is one of three stakes- to be offered here next week. The other two are the Honeymoon Stakes at a mile for three-year-old fillies on Tuesday and the Cinderella Stakes at five furlongs for two-year-old fillies on Thursday. Last year Bobby Brocato won eight stakes, including the Santa Anita Handicap and the San Juan Capistrano, and placed in four others including the Argonaut in which he was runner-up to Swaps. Though he has not raced in many months Bobby Brocato has trained excellently and his connections think he is ready fojfwhatever task is set for him. The Kerr Stables also named Blessbull for the Argonaut and he, too, has been training well. t Llangollens Strong Hand Llangollen Farm may hold the most powerful hand for the Argonaut, for that establishment has entered Corn Husker and Social Climber. Corn Husker last winter duplicated Bobby Brocatos feat of having wron both the Santa Anita Handicap and the San Juan Capistrano and additionally accounted for the San Gabriel. In his only start here he was third in the Los Angeles Handicap. Social Climber has made two stands here this meeting. After finishing second in the Hollywood Premiere he came back to capture the 00,000 Californian. Last summer he accounted for two stakes here the El Dorado Handicap and the Cinema. Another interesting nominee for the Argonaut is Louis B. Mayers Alidon who won the same race two seasons ago. Alidon gave a more recent demonstration of his fitness on Friday when he won an overnight engagement at a mile and an eighth in 1:49. Also among the Argonaut subscriptions are A. G. Vanderbilts Find, star of the Premiere, Lou Rowans Pibe Carlitos, hero of the William P. Kyne Memorial, and the Poltex Stables Terrang, winner of the San Antonio." - Heading the prospective field for the Honeymoon Stakes is Mrs. Connie Rings Market Basket who scored such a convincing victory in the Goose Girl Stakes earlier in the meeting. Some others awaiting the race are Tourbillonte, Inquisitive, Royal Rasher, Molly Maid and Her Honor. The Kerr Stables Glorious Nymph, winner of the Junior League Stakes, is among thosexpected to participate in the Cinderella.
