FANCY SOUVENIR went to the front at once and, making a show of her opposition, increased her margin as she went and was an easy winner. GRACES STAR had some trouble striking her best stride and was in rather tight quarters nearing the far turn, then made up some ground in the last quarter to be easily best of the rest. RIP ROAD was -a good contender from the start and, taking command over MARTIAL at midstretch, drew away in the last sixteenth to win easily. MARTIAL, close up early, headed the field entering the stretch and was easily best of the rest. JO DAVIS was unable to keep up in a rather weak effort. LETMEGO passed tiring horses. SHAN PAC was rated while racing fairly close to the leaders in the first half mile, then went to the front after entering the stretch and was not irr serious danger from SOME CLASSIC. The latter was outrun for over a half mile but came strongly through the last eighth and was gaining. KITTY GIRL also came steadily through the stretch and was up to be third in the final strides. BERNBURGOO was rated nicely close up and in the clear in the first seven furlongs, then came well out from the rail for the stretch run and, getting to the front in the last sixteenth, was hustled along and was not in danger from SUNNINGDALE. The latter was off rather slowly and was in close quarters a couple of times but came strongly through the stretch and was gaining. BLUE CHOIRi as usual, lacked much early speed but staged a strong stretch run. THE WARRIOR was rated early and seemed in slightly close quarters around the far turn, then came out in the stretch to take command after passing the final eighth but was "unable to last. BRYN lacked early speed but made up ground and was bleeding slightly after pulling up. SIR TRIBAL, a forward factor early, was in close guarters a couple of times while racing next the rail and was shut off at midstretch. NORTH CONE had early foot. ST. VINCENT was badly outrun throughout in a weak effort. MUNCHAUSEN tired badly in the last furlong as did SPEED ROUSER. HIGH KING bolted to the inside at the start.
