A. SNIDER SHOWS PROMISE NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 14 A young rider whose services may be in much demand here shortly is Albert Snider, 18-year-old Canadian youth, who only recently returned to the saddle after recovering from an injury sustained at Narragansett Park. Snider received a crushed bone in his foot in the starting gate at the Pawtucket course and . did not get back into action until last week. Snider, brother of former jockey Alvin Snider, rode his first winner, Sage Girl, at Stamford Park in Canada. The boy, who was born and raised within the shadow of the Calgary track, is under contract to E. P. Rickard, who acquired Sniders papers from the stable of H. R. Bain. He rides at 102 pounds.
