Won driving; second and third the same, HOPE BANQUET, off slqwjy and forced to race , around the, field, proved easily the best to finish fast and catch LADY BANNER in the closing strides. The. latter was permitted to race to the middle of the track while leading approaching the stretch turn and held on fairly well in the final drive. BURLINGTON BILL went well and finished fast. BESS COT, well up from the start, hugged the rail in the stretch while WHO SAID and ELIZABETH T. were racing, wide and got to the front near the end. WHO SAID had the most early speed but bore out badly in the last eighth to seriously interfere with ELIZABETH T. and was disqualified for fouling the: latter and was-placed third. ELIZABETH T., probably the best, made a strong move on the outside after entering the stretch and might have won but for meeting with interference from WHO SATO. The latter showed speed in keeping pace with ALBINO in the early running and went gamely to the end. MARIOLET made a good move in the stretch and finished close up. ALBINO was used up racing with TRISTRAP in the early part and tired in the last eighth. INDIAN SALUTE was left flatfooted at the post and galloped around the track far back of the field.
