DUFFERIN PARK INAUGURAL Torontos Famous Half-Miler Only Track in America Computing Prices to One Dollar. TORONTO, Ont., June 18. Dufferin Park, Canadas premier half mile racing ground and one of the most popular small ovals on the continent, begins it summer meeting of seven days tomorrow. Much work has been done at the compact plant since it rang down the curtain on the Canadian racing season last October, and only a few last-minute details have yet to be attended before the first race is called to the post. All the wagering features that have proved so popular In recent years will again be in effect The Orpen-Hare tracks are the only plants where prices are computed to the dollar, the reason being that there are different dollar combinations, including the-, 3- and "nought-one-one." The innovation of posting the morning line qn the first and second races before the running of the Initial event to give "Daily Double" bettors an idea of the approximate odds- on both races, will be used at Dufferin. The idea proved quite popular at the recently closed Long Branch meeting. !
