Won ridden out; second and third driving. OLD REB went to the front in the opening strides, drew into a long lead and, although tiring near the end, was never seriously threatened. STAROGAN was closest to the pace, held on with good energy to the close and was gaining on the winner at the end. CREDULOUS was unable to keep pace early but closed some ground through the last three-sixteenths. MILK was well placed early and, under urging, tired in the closing drive. LUNSFORD trailed until the closing threesixteenths and finished with a rush. IMLAY was never a threat. BULL MARKET was away fast but unable to keep pace, tiring through the stretch. Won easily; second and third driving. - SHANTIME, restrained until leaving the, back stretch, moved through on the inside of the early, leaders nearing the stretch to take command drawing out steadily. HALO had Speed from the start, disposed of LADY MILLY, but was no match for the winner in the closing test. POTIPHAR was hard ridden in an attempt to improve his position and went at an even pace throughout. LADY MILLY faltered after going a half mile. FOREST B; never could endanger the leaders. CRAVAT worked his way up gradually and closed with a rush on the outside through the stretch, getting up in the last strides. FOLK DANCE took command in the stretch and just missed. ENAC was taken up repeatedly during the first three-eighths,, and closed in determined fashion through the last three-sixteenths. GRAPE THIEF was hard ridden all the way, finished willingly, getting a dead heat for third in the last stride. MINTSON had early speed but faltered in the final quarter mile. MANY STINGS closed some ground. FEEDMAN and TIGHTMOUTH had early speed but stopped badly when the real racing began. BULSTRODE moved up fast approaching the half mile ground continued to work his way up gradually, took the lead in the stretch and drew clear in the last eighth. CANDAR, well up from the start, moved up on the outside when reaching the back stretch, took command at the half mile ground and held on stubbornly to the close. BELIEVER loomed up threateningly after rounding the far turn and continued with good courage to the close, although unable to reach the first two. BLESSED EVENT, a trailer until leaving the back stretch, closed some ground in the last quarter mile. NOAHS PRIDE was never prominent. U DEMON quit badly after going three-eighths. RIDGE MOR, racing well and unhurried during the early part of it, began improving his position in the last three-eighths and, coming to the outside in-the stretch, closed with a rush to win going away. DREEL, quickest to begin, was steadied along in near pursuit of the pace after being overtaken, went into a dear lead when reaching the stretch and, despite holding on gamely, was unable to cope with the winner. IPSO FACTO moved up gradually, saved ground in the stretch and finished gamely. BLUE ARMOR closed a big gap. ALL FORLORN could at no time reach the leaders. ONRUSH could not improve his position in the drive. HOME LOAN, unruly at the post, was started from the outside. He failed to cut any figure in the running. TOP TAX was prominent, throughout, and continued with good energy to the finish. MOISSON was well placed but unable to close any ground when put to punishment. HAPPY HELEN came with a rush through the last sixteenth and was going swiftly at the close when her rider lost his whip. UNFURL was well placed from the start, was unable to reach the winner, but held third safe from WITLESS despite tiring. SHOT AND SHELL displayed good speed in the pacemaking and continued well to the end, although unable to keep pace with the winner -when challenged. EASIEST WAY closed a good gap. ROYAL TREAD, restrained while holding to a forward . position faltered in the closing drive. REDRESS was unable to enter into contention and showed a dull effort. KAPENA was away slowly.
