LADIES DAY AT RIVERSIDE Large Numbers of the Fair Sex Watch Sport at Popular Kansas City Course. KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 18. Eight well filled and balanced races made up the Friday program at Riverside Park and despite the sultry weather, another large crowd was on hand to witness the sport. It was Ladies Day again and large numbers of the fair sex turned out as guests of the Riverside Fark management. While the weather was sultry, a cool breeze swept through the stands, i.iaking conditions ideal for the fans. Sir John S., a rank outsider in the wagering, was an easy winner of the initial race en the program when he easily led home a field of twelve cheap ones over five and one-half furlongs. Five lengths back of the winner came the favorite, Over Rose, which was easily better than Rosy Doon, the one that finished third.
