1 NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES I $ Trainer George C. White increased the horse population of Narragansett Park by fourteen when he brought in the Rosedale Stable of thirteen and a pony. Jockeys T. Dickenson and R. Adair who will ride for the stable, came in with the shipment. The string includes Hoptown Lass, Miscreant, Wage Earner, Shinplaster, Prophecy, Branham, Anxi ty, Lake View, Silk Mask, Black Satin and three two-year-olds as yet unnamed. The shipment came in express from Nashville, Tenn. Dune McDermid brought in eighteen of the Fanfare Farms contingent Wednesday night, coming from Tropical Park. Blind Pig and Dunade head the Fanfare outfit which included Victorious Ann, Tugboat Frank and Terpsichore. Jockeys Eddie Robart and Earl Maloney will arrive Friday for the spring meeting. Sheldon H. Fairbanks, well-known New England sportsman brought in a string of eleven Thursday, headed by the good campaigner, U-Boat. S. Stronsky will do the riding for the Fairbanks establishment. Mose Shapoff shipped in four head in the same consignment from Tropical. Merle Simmons arrived with six head Including Dark Beau and Notice Me, both winners at Tropical Park. A checkup in the stable area showed 486 horses already stabled at Gansett Thursday morning. Van and train shipments due to arrive Thursday will bring the equine population to close to 600 by nightfall. Harold Simmons shipped in four head Thursday with the good campaigner Somali the first out of the car. John F. Letendre, Narragansett director, reported back in Providence Thursday after wintering in Florida. Narragansett executive office will be moved on Monday from the Biltmore Hotel, Providence, out to the track. Two carloads from Florida arriving Thursday afternoon brought in twelve head for Lyman Brusie and seventeen head for Bill Hodson. Horses arriving now from the south are fit and ready for racing after the winter campaign. Arthur Gaignard wired ahead to have stalls bedded down for fifteen head he is shipping from New Orleans. H. H. Brown is negotiating for the contract of J. Flinchum, one of the leading riders at Oaklawn this spring. Paul Kelley unloaded eleven head, including Shes Right, Almac, Bright Spot, Dark Zeni, Merry Caroline, Prince Derek, Count Valiant, Chancer, Distractible, Toni and Le Miserable. Jockey Jimmy Ashcroft, leading rider at Tropical Park, was due to report to Kelley, his contract employer, this afternoon. Harry Brusie brought in four head from Florida. The quartet included Cruising, Playing Dan, Raceaway and Griewrack. Bill Flemming unloaded six head, including Sun Kincsen, Loveday, Free and Clear and Bolis. C. H. Trotter had six in the same car, headed by Silent Witness, and including Boston Pal, Glenbroom and Veiled Lady. W. Donnellys shipment from Florida, which arrived Thursday morning, included Panjab. He also brought in Hunting Ridge, Oddesa Frank, Nance, Count Rae, Fire Finch, Very Busy and Lady Milly.
