FAIRMOUNT PARK N0TES D. Ford made application for two horses, Sue Harpen and Skotchy, F. Orr, who raced with a measure of success at New Orleans, will ship seven horses here, Green Mist, Footwork, Night Gail, Northern Waters, Sarah Justice, King Preston and Charley Hoss. Green Mist won his last two outs at the Fair Grounds. Jack Blythe, track photographer at the Fair Grounds, in New Orleans, reached Collinsville for a two weeks visit. Ducmiss, winner of five races -recently in New Orleans, is one of the four H. Hock-enbury will race at Fairmount. The others are Nim, Town Silver and Kingshighway. E. B. Shipp and his granddaughter. Miss M. Hodge, will race one of the biggest strings this meeting. In their combined group of fifteen thoroughbreds are the well-known ones, Runmilton, Pegging Away, Miss Webb, Norman Sloat, Dolly E., and others. Ex-jockey Henry R. Riley, who was a great favorite in these parts years ago, has a one-horse stable in Har-Jo. Har-Jo is a four-year-old by Cloister. H. H. Fausett, who formerly trained the great sprinter Leading Article here, made application for three stalls for Be Discreet, Charles J. and Calanta. T. W. Cochrane wired for two stalls, his equines being Hy-Sonny, a winner in New Orleans, and Sky Lad. Horsemen are hoping for a break in the chilly weather. The cold snap has retarded some of the training maneuvers. "Doc" Stortz, well-known veterinarian who has served in that capacity here for several years, was a visitor at the track Wednesday morning. T. Deahl wired for five stalls, naming as his colorbearers, Fast Move, My Colin, Indian Boy, Parva Stqlla and Neil Jay. Fast Move was one of the stars of last years spring meeting. H. Forrest has asked stalls for four horses, Brevard, Swale, Mt. Sard and Timberline. The horses recently raced at Hot Springs. One of the new jockeys who will be seen under colors this meeting is Otto Grohs. The lad is attached to the stable of L. W. Kidd, who will race here for the first time. Grohs, 17 years of age, hails from El Monte, Calif., and rode well recently at Hot Springs.
