WEIGHTS FOR TANFORANS I 3-YEAR-OLD CHAMPIONSHIP j -4 SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 13. Roman Hero, Manhasset Stables good three-year-old, is held in high regard by John Rothchild Maluvius, Tanforans youthful racing secretary. Maluvius has decreed that the son of Pompey must carry 124 pounds in the Tan-foran Three-Year-Old Championship Saturday, while weighted closest to him is his running companion, Sidney Carton, with 115 pounds. As the others are in comparatively light, the event may turn out to be a good contest, even if the Manhasset-Jock Whitney entry seems to -be the class horses of the field. The weights reveal that One Shen, which could not raise a trot in his Wednesday race, is burdened with 111 pounds; Mask and Wig, a double winner at the meeting, with 110; Ed, second in his last start, with 109; Smoky Snyder, a winner Wednesday, with 108; First Port and Say Judge, which will race as an entry, each with 104; Colonel Bret, with 103, and Ted Fio-Ritos maiden Tobacco Road, with 100.
