KEENELAND TURF NOTES I J 3 W. E. Smith, Polk Laffoon and C. L. Croan who came to Lexington for the meeting of the racing commission, stayed over for the opening. Apprentice Mario Quintero, whose contract has been leased .by George Krehbicl, arrived from his home in Havana, Cuba, and reported to Joe Hall, who trains the Krehbiel horses. Having received stalls for three horses, which he now has quartered at Douglas Park, John Oros announced that his son, ! John Oros, Americas leading rider, would j be here to accept mounts on Tuesday. Oros is riding at Bowie and will leave Baltimore after Saturdays program at Havre de Grace. Gilbert Elston brought Arabs Arrow, Tyr and Porte Mora here from Churchill Downs to carry the colors of Baylor Hickman and Mrs. Louise Jones Hickman. Al Morris, general sales manager for the Pabst Brewing Company, arrived from Milwaukee and is the guest of Joe Wolkin and Ben Kopel.
