SENATOR BORAHS WARNING WASHINGTON, D. C, April 13. The dean of the Senate and a helmsman in United States foreign-affairs for thirty years. Senator William E. Borah, of Idaho, warned Americas youth today against the "madness" of fighting another of Europes wars. When war comes abroad, Borah said, it will be "sordid" and "imperialistic," and he pleaded with youth to "investigate for yourselves as to the real issue which threatens to involve us in another European war." The lion of Idaho blamed Europes democracies as much as its dictators for brewing the bitter broth of war. Borahs warning to youth was made in a letter to students of St. Olaf College, at Northfield, Minn., when they asked him for his views of the international situation and the threat of war.
