POSTING OP RESULTS PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 22. Prior to racing today, State Racing Administrator Louis C. Gerry called the stewards and placing judges together for a discussion of the rules of racing with particular reference to the procedure in posting finishes. Mr. Gerry informed the stewards that he was leaving the entire matter to the discretion of the stewards, who immediately passed it along to the placing judges with the suggestion they call for pictures only when the order of finish was in doubt. There will be no arbitrary rulings at Gansett this season, and with placing judges calling finishes as they happen, instead of delaying the posting of results until pictures of every finish can be inspected, racing will be speeded up considerably. Announcement of the new policy meets with the approval of both horsemen and race patrons.
