KAYAK II. IN ACCIDENT SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 22. Kayak II., Santa Anita Handicap winner, met with an accident Saturday morning that may keep him out of action for some time. The South American star grabbed his quarter when he attempted to leap a flying piece of paper while being galloped and was bleeding pro fusely when pulled up. Jockey Neves, who was exercising him, dismounted and although the colt was not limping as he walked back to the stables, his injury may keep him out of the Bay Meadows Handicap in which he was to have met Main Man and other stars. The injury is in Kayak II.s left front leg and he will be rested until trainer Tom Smith gets a veterinarians okay to start him.
