TEXAS ROSE began fastest, but was taken in hand, then moved up fast when ready and, taking command entering the stretch, won easily. JADVA, hustled along from the start, was pinched back on the far turn, came again when clear and finished strongly. KENTUCKY JANE, rushed into a clear lead in the first quarter, gave way after half a mile and tired fast in the late stages. CHANCEFUL, in close quarters early, moved up after five-sixteenths and tired. FLYING WATCH closed with a rush. VALVESTA showed little after being pinched back early. MISS CO ED, fractious but away well, was forced to lose ground on the turn, but responded to strong urging when straightened out in the stretch and took the lead in the final strides to win drawing away. VALEO, hustled along from the start, wore down SHAKERTOWN in the final sixteenth, but could not hold the winner. SHAKERTOWN took a good lead in the first quarter but was not good enough in the final test. MAEBRILLE worked her way up and finished well. COLUMBIAS BOY raced wide. FIRST UP closed a gap. EPIDOR moved up fast after three-eighths and, responding to strong urging, closed with a rush. WISE DECISION moved into command near the final eighth, but was pinched back by the winner and tired. UTICA closed with a rush. TEMULAC raced on the outside in the stretch. ODDESA KNIGHT gave way after taking the lead on the far turn. BOATS CREW had early speed. JANE HULL quit. MORCARINE, never far back and stradipd alone early, moved up rapidly when called upon and took a momentarily lead after subduing DETECTOR, but was unable to withstand the winner. DOC JOCK came from far back and closed with a rush. DETECTOR unseated his rider and ran away three-sixteenths; then was hustled along from the start and wore down SYRACUSE approaching the final quarter but tired rapidly after relinquishing the lead. ELMA H. began slowly and made up little eround. DECATUR tired after going five-eighths. RULE ALL, under strong urging- for a half mile, tired steadily therafter.
