I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES s s A. C. Ernsts Albubble may have raced for the last time. Trainer Jack Skirvin said the five-year-old horse by Bubbling Over and Blackeyed Kathleen suffered a bowed ten-ton and will be sent to the Ernst farm near Lexington to be turned out. Skirvin doubts that the horse will ever race again. Jockey Tracy Vercher put in an appearance at Churchill Downs and may get back into action when the local season begins. Al Miller, who has a division of the I. J. Collins horses at Keeneland, is due back at Churchill Downs at the begininng of this week. The Collins horses already here are Barna, Flying Bobby and KennethK. Nu-wine, which had been there, has been sent to Beulah Park with the division which Carter Everett will race at the Ohio track. The veteran rider, Jimmy Burke, is on the scene and is galloping horses to keep fit. Word was received here of the serious illness in Cincinnati of Mrs. Mose Goldblatt, wife of the horseman. Mrs. Goldblatt is suffering from a heart ailment. Kirby Ramsey, who has a large public stable at Churchill Downs, reports all the horses in his barn in excellent condition. A number of Churchill Downs stakes nominees are included in the establishment. Jack Skirvin reports the birth of a foal by Islam and Vanita at the A. C. Ernst farm in Kentucky. The colt is the first foal of Vanita, which is to be bred next to Whichone. Three other colts have been born at the Ernst farm recently. Mr. and Mrs. David W. Butler are now in New York, but will come here for the Louisville racing season, according to word received by Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lowenstein.
