DON GOMEZ drew clear rounding the far turn, but failed to withstand the winners challenge in the final eighth. THE NILE was always well up and held the others safe. MINT FLAVOR saved ground rounding the stretch turn and, during the run home, but tired. HAZEL BROWN showed a flash of early speed. The others were outrun..
