VERDICT AGAINST BROKERS A federal jury in Judge Igoes court awarded the Equitable Life Insurance Company of Iowa a 6,150 judgment against Halsey, Stewart and Co. The latter concern w2s charged with having "wilfully, falsely and fraudulently" misrepresenting 60,000 worth of bonds on the city of Longview, Wash., which it sold the company in 1930.
