I LEXINGTON TURF NOTES WTitch Broom, 17-year-old black mare, by Negofol Broomstraw, by Broomstick, property of Roy Carruthers, died Thursday morning at Slickaway Farm as a result of complications of the bowels. She was the dam of the stakes winner, Bye Lo, and the winner One Knot, Blox and Black Valjean. A large number of breeders and horsemen of the Blue Grass section expect to attend the funeral of Jerome B. Respess at the residence on Highland Stock Farm, Erlan-ger, Friday afternoon. Walter Ridenour has returned to Keene-land with his horses to cest them through August.
