DARBY DALLAS, fast to begin and steadied along when outrun, improved his position when ready, bore to the inside when taking command and drew away to win with much to spare. TRUE STAR, hustled along early, saved ground entering the stretch, was caught in closequarters approaching the final eighth and tired thereafter. LITTLE DAVEY, rushed into command, established a clear lead after three-sixteenths, was pinched back when the winner bore over and failed to recover. ARANMORE had no mishaps. COIL SPRING, well handled and steadied along while closely attending ALWINTOURS pace, took command when ready, drew clear rapidly and, after increasing his advantage in the stretch, won easily. GREY DOLL, forced wide while enjoying a contending position, dropped back on the upper turn, came again near-ing the final quarter and, although unable to menace the winner, was much the best of the others. WORLD WAR improved his position on the outside. GAY JAY was unable to keep up. ALWINTOUR was done after a half mile. JUBILEE C. was outrun. Mrs. E. H. Beezley claimed Coil Spring for ,500. ARCTIC STAR took command at once, was taken in hand when NAT BRAGG raced into command, dropped back after a mile and held on well thereafter. NAT BRAGG, hustled into a good early lead, held sway for a mile and a quarter and tired rapidly thereafter. BECKVILLE held a prominent position throughout. IMPERIAL HIGH, -knocked off stride when LATER ON came over entering the back stretch, came again when in stride, but failed to menace the leaders. HOPTOIT tired. TWO BROOMS met interference. SKIPSEA stumbled entering the lower turn. BIG BROOK stumbled and lost rider soon after entering the final five-eighths. LATER ON moved forward after three-quarters, came over on IMPERIAL HIGH and stumbled, then fell soon after concluding a mile. Scratched 78997 Hcartease. 104.
