I ARLINGTON PARK NOTES 5 4 B. A. Jones, who soon will take over the I training of the Calumet Farm horses, will visit the farm in Kentucky this week-end, to look over the yearling stock. Jockey Basil James packed his tack and left for New York. In a private transaction at Arlington Park, Mrs. Elizabeth Oros, represented by her husband, John Oros, purchased Ginocchio from E. F. Bennett. Joe Serio, Jr., who trains the horses of E. K. Bryson, is making preparations to ship the juveniles, Winter Sea and Clyde Tolson, to Saratoga, Friday. After Clyde Tolsons poor race here, Tuesday, it was decided not to start him in Saturdays Futurity. Jockey Raymond Workman and Lucas Dupps are due here, Friday, to fill riding engagements in the Arlington Futurity the following day. With the exception of Talked About, the entire Calumet Farm stable at Arlington Park will be shipped to Saratoga, Friday. Talked About is to join the division of the stable which Jack Hodgins will race at Washington Park. Mr. Flash, owned by the Good Time Stable, arrived from the farm in Wisconsin, and was taken over by E. ONeil. Apprentice Charles Wells returns to the saddle Thursday, after having served a brief suspension. Jockey Warren Yarberry left for a visit to his home in Dallas, and will be gone a week or ten days. The juvenile Andy K., having been worked in special equipment to prevent his bearing out, the Arlington Park stewards ruled that his entry again may be occepted. He was barred for running out so badly. C. J. McLennan, racing secretary at Wash- ington Park, was at Arlington Park and said that scratch time at the Homewood track would be 8 oclock a. m. daily throughout the coming meeting. Miss Eva Duffy, sister of Edward W. Duffy, who died in Detroit several days ago, was here at Arlington Park Wednesday and announced that the Duffy horses would continue to be raced under their present colors until the estate of her late brother is settled. Preparations are being made to transfer the stable to Washington Park after the close here. Apprentice Hayden Dupuy was suspended the last two days of the Arlington meeting and fined 0 for crossing his field too sharply, soon after the start of the sixth race Wednesday. He was astride Wise Ally.
