J. Abel; bred by Mr. W. H. Whitehouse. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST 6:00. AT POST 24. minutes. Start good and slow. Won ridden out; second and third driving. BYRDS FLIGHT raced to the front at once, drew clear in the run to the first turn and, rated along under slight restraint, had enough in reserve to hold ITALIAN HARRY safe through the stretch. ITALIAN HARRY, reserved until leaving the back stretch, moved up gamely and, responding willingly to punishment, continued with good courage to the close. WHIPPER CRACKER trailed his field until the last three-eighths, then came gamely in the final drive. RIVER DEE, much used in chasing the pace, tired when leaving the back stretch. SCUDDER, well placed early, was unable to reach the leaders when called upon. BLACK-. BIRDER was outrun throughout. PRINCE DEAN was never a factor. Scratched 79307 Miss L. P., 108.
