DROUGHT IN NORTHEAST With damage to crops in ten states in the Northeast amounting to millions, this section, with little relijx in sight, faces water shortage and also the hazard of possible forest fires in the dry woodlands. In some parts of Pennsylvania a 50 per cent crop failure was being predicted.
