; i I : J; EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES I $ Word from Bristol, Pa., is to the effect that the condition of trainer J. J. Waldron is improved. He was injured in an automobile wreck near that city and is at Harri-man Hospital. During his confinement his horses will be trained by "Pud" McDaniel. Jules Wessler shipped thirteen horses to Saratoga Springs Tuesday and will ship the remaining members of the stable Thursday. Kenneth Force will take over his duties at Saratoga Springs Sunday, patrolling the track during morning work hours. He is on the lookout for "loose" horses and will try to keep horses that are to be worked from interfering with those which are being pulled up. John J. Brady of the Horsemens Transportation Association, reported Wednesday that the Belair Stud and Wheatley Stable horses were shipped to Saratoga Springs. Two cars were used for the shipment. John J. Brady, of the Horsemens Transportation Association, reported that shipments from the West to Saratoga exceed those of last season. The shipments include yearlings and other horses. Kayak II., winner of the Hollywood Gold Cup, is entered in several stakes at Saratoga Springs and may be shipped East with other members of the Howard stable for the upstate meeting.
