MEADE MUST ASK FOR ILLINOIS LICENSE HIMSELF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., July 27 Action by the Illinois Racing Commission on an application for a license to ride in the Arlington Futurity Saturday by Don Meade will not be taken until the jockey himself makes formal application. Trainer Alex Gordon is reported to have asked for such a license in Meades behalf, but was told that that procedure was irregular and that Meade himself would have to make the request. If he is granted a license the jockey will handle Boy Angler in Saturdays Futurity at Arlington Park.
