1 ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES 9 : Jockey Ted Atkinson arrived from Thistle Down and will ride for H. C. Rumage for the remainder of the Salem meeting. P. Schwartz has shipped his string to Saratoga. Last year Mr. Schwartz sent eight horses to the post at the Spa course and finished in the money in all races, winning four. Heading the shipment is Napper Tandy, winner of his last start at Suffolk Downs. Trainer Dion Kerr has taken over M. Maddens Phara Boy to train, succeeding C. Miller. E. A. Summers will saddle Maebeau, Inactive, Silas, Peaceful and Peanut Lady for Mrs. M. H. Charles at Rockingham. Knights Sox changed hands after the run ning of the seventh race, being claimed for ,200 by L. E. Ogle. Beginning Thursday at Rockingham Park only eleven starters will be allowed in the two-year-old races at five furlongs. It has been decided to allow eleven to start with the exception of stake races because of the narrowness of the track at this point. Samuel Bachrach, owner of Golden Voyage, a candidate for the Tomlin Handicap, to be run. Saturday, arrived at Rockingham to witness his colt perform. :
