Sox Point for As First, Then Bosox Richards Says His Club Is Playing Game at a Time; Stretch Win Streak to 14 By TIM CANTY United Press Sports Writer Pilot Paul Richards of the American League-leading White Sox said today he wont worry about the rising Boston Red Sox until Sunday. Richards pointed out that the White Sox must get past the Philadelphia Athletics Friday and Saturday, and said his hustling ball club is playing out its win. streak — now at 14 in a row — one game at a time. "Well worry about the Red Sox Sunday when we go out to meet em at Comiskey Park," he said. But local fans, 34,856 of whom attended yesterdays double-header with the St. Louis Browns, were expected to come out in large numbers to worry over the battle 1 of the Soxes. They felt they owed something to the Boston club. The morning of Memorial-Day, the White Sox were in first place s * by only .024 percentage points over the NewYork Yankees. By evening, the Bosox had dumped the Yankees twice, the White , Sox had won twice, and had a two-game.* margin over the second-place Yankees.
